A review of past and current thinking related to education and creativity is explored. Guilford's Structure of Intellect, Renzulli's Schoolwide Enrichment Model and Runco and Chad's two tier model of creative thinking are explained and many techniques for encouraging creativity are presented. Further research is needed on the disciplinary transfer of creative thinking skills and the author states that teachers need education on how to teach creativity to students.
