A study was conducted of problem solving involving gender and task. NASA Survival exercise was used for the impersonal decision making groups and a more personal exercise was developed to parallel the NASA problem. Groups comprised of both genders participated in both types of exercises. While task performance was gender-equal behavior and perception of likability leadership and contribution depended on the task.
