A study was conducted concerning the access and possession of previous knowledge and the use of that knowledge in present problem solving situations. Based on previous studies riddles were given in three settings to determine informed crossover performance uninformed crossover performance and a baseline where no previous knowledge is given. Those who accessed the most previous information were able to have a greater number of the problems accurately solved.
