Evaluated the impact of an eight-hour Creative Problem Solving seminar on the professional and personal lives on individuals of a large Western New York retail food retailer. Results from surveys and personal interviews indicate that participants trained in CPS used tools and techniques that had specific applications to their daily tasks. Brainstorming, an open encouraging climate, the idea system and the technique of pluses, potentials, concerns were rated as most useful overall by participants. Brainwriting and forced relationships were rated least useful.
