Type of Resource: Journal Article
(ISSN: 0022-0175)

This article applies a propulsion model of creative contributions to the arts and letters. The propulsion model breaks up creative contributions into eight types: replication, redefinition, forward incrementation, advance forward incrementation, redirection, reconstruction/redirection, reinitiation, and integration. These eight types of creative contributions are defined and then applied to the arts and letters in order to show how the model can be useful in evaluating the status of creative work.
