Buttner, E. Holly; Gryskiewicz, Nur. (1993). Entrepreneur's problem-solving styles: An empirical study using the KAI theory. Journal of Small Business Management, (Jan) , pp. 23-31.

Type of Resource: Journal Article

This study investigated entrepreneur's adaptor-innovator styles and related behaviors. Results suggest that the KAI confirms the following: entrepreneurs tend to be more innovative than their managerial counterparts in large organizations; the more innovative entrepreneurs tend to start more new business ventures than their adaptive colleagues; the more adaptive entrepreneurs tend to actively run their businesses longer than their innovative colleagues; and the more adaptive entrepreneurs spend more time than do innovators in administrative activities which fit their preferred problem solving style.
