Type of Resource: Dissertation/Thesis
Executive Summary: PDF

A study was conducted to 1) determine what methods might be used to develop and maintain a creative work environment, and 2) to analyze the advantages that might be found in such an environment. A questionnaire was developed and administered. Subjects (n= 13) evaluated their work group climate, and these results were compared against journal authors' perceptions of value and affect of different types of environments. It is suggested that by developing and maintaining a creative work environment, benefits include 1) improved productivity, 2) higher quality of products and services, 3) lower absenteeism, and 4) generally better subordinate moral.
