Journal Article (ISSN: 0278-3193)
This article provides an example of a third grade gifted education classroom. The teacher, Rick Landmann, used his background in theater to incorporate elements of play and physicalization as an important part of the learning process. It is this teacher's belief that when students are physically involved in the learning process, they learn more and exercise ownership over their learning. The role of the teacher in this environment is that of a facilitator to monitor learning. Students and parents provide testimony of the advantages of this gifted program.
