Universal Waste Disposal
o Household batteries, including: Nickel Cadmium (NiCd) and Lithium Ion (Li-Ion) can be placed in the marked red bins located in each department and in residence hall mailrooms.o Lead-acid batteries will be picked up by Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) call ext. 6128 to schedule a pick-up.
FLUORESCENT LIGHT BULBS are collected by custodial staff and sent to a recycling firm. If you have individual bulbs needing disposal, please call ext. 6123 to schedule a pick-up.
MERCURY-CONTAINING ITEMS, such as, thermostats, thermometers, medical or scientific instruments, electrical relays and switches – call EH&S ext. 6128 to schedule a pick-up.
Products containing PESTICIDES will be picked up for disposal by EH&S, call ext. 6128 to schedule a pick-up.
