Welcome to Buffalo State College!
On behalf of the faculty and staff at Buffalo State College, the Orientation Office welcomes you to the campus community! As you begin this new and exciting journey, we invite you to become more acquainted with Buffalo State by attending our mandatory New Student Orientation program.*
Orientation provides information and events that create a common experience and promote school spirit by fostering student learning and development both in and out of the classroom.

Checklist before you attend orientation:
- Take care of any Weigel Health Center holds (for immunizations or health insurance)
- Send in your final official high school and/or college transcripts to the Admissions Office

Check Degree Navigator to make sure your classes/credits have transferred properly

Complete the on-line alcohol/sexual assault and suicide prevention educational programs when notified to do so. (starting one month before orientation begins). You will receive an invitation by email to start each of these programs one month prior to Orientation. *Mandatory New Student Orientation program
At Buffalo State College, all new students (first year and transfer) are required to attend orientation prior to the start of classes. Failure to do so will result in a hold being placed on a student’s registration. Re-admit students will need to confirm with the Orientation Office (716) 878-5336 that they have already met the orientation requirement.
