The specific selections included here were recommended by a small group of Buffalo State faculty and staff, and were chosen in part due to practical concerns such as copyright availability. The selections are designed to begin discussions on the monthly themes, not to be considered the definitive word on any of the subjects. The selections should not be taken to reflect the views or opinions of any committee or college office, let alone the entire campus community. We hope only that the selections are provocative representations of complex themes, and that students and colleagues will enjoy discussing, debating, and questioning the opinions presented herein.
