Performance: Porto Seguro with Brice Kapel
The Alliance Francaise de Buffalo presents this musical performance by Brice Kapel. More than a singer, Brice Kapel is a magician. He writes a world music inspired by Togolese lullabies, world rock, pop, and reggae. He sings wonderfully and makes the public, children and adults alike, sing and dance as he recounts African or Breton legends. Poetic, tender, and funny, Brice Kapel is pure talent, bursting with energy and a striking cheerfulness. He is a message, a window on another world. A Conversation with Rev. Run
United Students Government presents a conversation with Joseph "Reverend Run" Simmons, pioneering musician with Run DMC, author, fashion mogul, and star of the reality program Run's House. BSC Students can purchase up to 2 tickets at $5 each. All other tickets are $15 each. Tickets are available at the Rockwell Hall box office, Student Union box office or charge by phone at 716-878-3005. Rev. Run will center his program on questions sent in by Buffalo State students. Lois Klein Piano Recital Series: Pianist Orlay Alonso
This year's guest artist is Cuban pianist Orlay Alonso. Alonso has garnered top prizes in numerous piano competitions and has concertized throughout the United States. His program will feature works by Liszt, Beethoven, and Albeniz. In addition, Alonso will perform Erik Satie's suite "Sport et Divertissement" with special guest narrator Peter Hall, program host on WNED-FM 94.5.

Concert: The Rippingtons featuring Russ Freeman
For over 20 years this band has been delighting audiences all over the world with their distinct, signature sound. Now with Modern Art, their seventeenth album, the band once again demonstrates why they are one of the true musical innovators in the contemporary jazz genre.
