Concert: George Winston - solo piano
Drawing on diverse influences from folk, R&B, jazz and blues to classical and pop music for his moving compositions and interpretations, George Winston is a consummate contemporary instrumental performer. Performing songs from his latest CD, >em>Gulf Coast Blues & Impressions -- a Hurricane Relief Benefit, seasonally themed works, and classic Vince Guaraldi's PeanutsŪ pieces, don't miss George Winston create lyrical musical paintings, in concert. Screening: The Experience
Knuckle City Films presents a screening of their latest film The Experience. This documentary film explores the struggle to find identity often encountered by African Americans. The event will also include screenings of other Knuckle City Films Bad Fish and Benevolence. There will be a talk-back session with the filmmakers after the screening.
