The Buffalo City Ballet presents this classic tale. A ghost story of great tenderness, Giselle is the most famous and poignant ballet of the Romantic era. First performed in 1841, it was inspired by a story by Heinrich Heine. Encompassing innocence, pain, madness and boundless compassion, the role of Giselle is both a daunting technical test and a unique acting challenge.
