University Police is proud to sponsor the University Police Student Assistant (UPSA) program.
This program enables participating students to experience the work environment and learn about its expectations and repsonsibilities. The program offers flexible, rewarding employment opportunities for Buffalo State College students. The UPSA program is not a work study or financial aid program.
UPSAs have the option of choosing various work assignments. These include driving the escort vans, walking escorts, night patrol, monitoring college buildings, driving our motorist assistance van, walking patrol, monitoring the college library, security at the Burchfield Penney Art Center, night desk duties in the residence halls, monitoring sports events, special college events, events sponsored by off-campus entities, and various barricade and parking assistance details.
UPSAs are also provided the opportunity to advance into leadership roles as team leaders or coordinators. We are proud of the quality of work our students provide and pleased when students stay with us or their entire student career at Buffalo State College.
