Grant Street Task Force
A group of faculty and staff from Buffalo State College are working collaboratively with the Grant-Ferry Association to address a set of specific issues including streetscape, diversity, public safety, community events, and business development on Grant Street. Out of this collaboration, Friends of the Asarese-Matters Community Center was formed with the objective of improving the programs for neighborhood youth and repairing the physical plant and environment at the Rees Street Center. The Center's close proximity to the campus offers the opportunity for faculty, staff, student, and alumni involvement. To plan ongoing initiatives, regular meetings of the Task Force take place either on campus, in the community, or at the Center. Check the events calendar for opportunities to get involved with one of the work groups.
