About Winchester:
This K-6 school on Harlem Road in the West Seneca Central School District provides an excellent opportunity to grow and learn as a Junior Participant. Two JP's work in a classroom together, doing read alouds, morning calendar and message, tutoring individuals and small groups, assessing students, working with reading groups, and teaching their unit, among other activities. The days are quite busy.
The school is fairly small, and is an extremely open and inviting place. Winchester has a rich history as a traditional neighborhood school. It opened in 1939 and and has helped thousands of children to achieve academic success over its sixty-five years. There are currently 370 students attending Winchester.The principal, Kathleen Brachmann, along with teachers, and support staff all make us feel very welcome in the school. It's a great place to learn and put into practice what has been learned in your previous education courses. Dr. Kim Truesdell is the instructor at Winchester.
