Classes Meet Wednesdays 4:30-7:30 at the Buffalo Museum of Science

Teachers receive thee hours of professional development credit per class.

Phases of Matter: January 28 (Grades 2-8)

Join the Buffalo Museum of Science as we present ways to make science a gas! Solids, liquids, and gases will be presented from an inquiry based perspective.

Genetics: February 25 (Grades 5-12)

Learn how you can become part of current research on the genetics of the bacteria Wolbachia and its impact on insect populations, how to do a gel electrophoresis, and how to get kids interested in genetics.

Human Body: March 18 (Grades 4-8)

Bones, lungs, blood, and your brain have never been so intriguing. There will be a design challenge on ways to protect your brain.

Energy: April 22 (Grades 2-8)

Energize yourself with new ways to teach about electricity, music, and green forms of energy.

What Tifft Can Tell Us:  May 20 (All Grades)

Come to Tifft Nature Preserve and learn about how the past can tell us about the present and future. Explore ways to get your students outdoors.
