The faculty-student colloquium began in Spring 2006. Our aims for this series are to:
- Provide a forum for faculty and students to present and discuss each other’s work, in a congenial and supportive environment
- Prepare students for submitting their work to regional and national undergraduate conferences and journals
- Provide a forum for students who register for an Independent Study to present their work to the public
The spirit behind this series is to provide a venue for friendly and focused discussions of your great ideas. And you do have great ideas, which we are all eager to hear. Participating in this sort of event looks good on graduate school applications, resumes, and letters of recommendation.
So dust off those old papers that you never quite finished, or feel free to try out new ideas and present current works-in-progress.
