Bio: Professor Grunebaum taught at Buffalo State from 1971 till 2005. He chaired the Department from 1977 to 1980. From 1987 to 1999 he directed the All-College Honors Program and in 1997 he earned the State University of New York Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching.

Publications:
Professor Grunebaum published two books: Friendship: Liberty, Equality, and Utility, State University of New York Press, Albany, 2003 and Private Ownership, Routledge & Kegan Paul, London, 1987. He published more that a dozen articles in philosophy journals and made more than twenty five presentations at philosophy conferences in the United States, China and Turkey.
