 STUDENT AWARDS AND SELECTION CRITERIA

Special Political Science Award

The selection criteria used for this award include academic performance, dedication to learning, and general interest in political science.

  Yaheiry Galan accepts the Special Political Science Award for 2007 from Dr. Anthony Neal.

Outstanding Student in Political Science Award

 Selection criteria include academic performance, dedication to learning, aptitude for scholarship, and potential for a successful career. 

    

Nayrobi Rodriguez, 2008 Recipient of the Outstanding Student Award.  She will begin doctoral studies at American University this fall.

 

David Bullough Memorial Award

 It was established by former Natural and Social Sciences Dean Dr. Vernon Bullough in memory of his late son.  The selection criteria include academic performance, scholarly ability, and purposeful community involvement.

Raymond P. Stone Memorial Award

 The Political Science Department established it in memory of our late colleague, Dr. Raymond P. Stone, Professor of Political Science.  Dr. Stone served this Department throughout the 1960’s and 1970’s teaching public law courses as well as other political science courses.  He was a highly respected member of the Department and the college community.  He left a lasting impression on hundreds of Buffalo State alumni, especially those who went on to practice law.  Selection criteria include academic performance, dedication to learning, and a demonstrated commitment to pursue a law career.
