The Immediate Feedback Assessment Technique (IF-AT) uses a scratch-off type of form to provide interactive learning opportunities for students. The IF-AT forms are often used in team-based learning and other cooperative pedagogies, as well as to hold students accountable for information from assigned readings. They have the added benefit of providing immediate feedback to students about the accuracy of their answers and of teaching while assessing, thus facilitating learning and improving students’ retention of the information being tested.
