The Faculty Development Office supports scholarship at Buffalo State by organizing Faculty Writing Groups. These interdisciplinary groups of 4 - 6 faculty members typically meet every two to four weeks. Some groups meet simply to write, using accountability to others as a way to ensure they write on a regular basis. Other groups circulate manuscripts and meet mainly to share feedback on those manuscripts. Each group decides: (1) how often they will meet; (2) the dates, times, and lengths of their meetings; and, (3) how they can best use that time to impact their writing productivity.
