The College believes that immersion in the educational environment is the preferred experience for new students. Therefore, all full-time undergraduate students are required to live on campus, unless they:
(1) will continue to reside with their parent(s) or legal guardian(s) who live within 35 miles of the College,
(2) will continue to reside in their official residence, which is separate from that of their parent(s) or legal guardian(s), and at which they have resided for at least three consecutive months prior to their acceptance of the admissions offer from the College,
(3) are married, or
(4) are twenty-one (21) years of age as of September 1 for fall admission or January 1 for spring admission.
First year students must live in College housing for their freshman and sophomore years. Room assignments for new students are made based on the date on which we receive the student's completed housing information. Although entering students (first year transfer) are given no guarantee of assignment to a specific building or room, every attempt is made to honor students’ preferences. Also, the Office of Residence Life will attempt to honor roommate requests when all students involved have mutually agreed in writing prior to August 1st..
The College will assign roommates for students who do not express roommate preferences. In general, entering students are assigned rooms in accordance with the dates on which the College receives their signed Housing Application. The College does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, national origin, or affectional orientation in those assignments.

Room Assignment Information: (FALL 2011)
Room assignment information will be mailed on or about August 1, 2011. At that time you will receive your roommates name, contact information and room assignment. Please note that room assignments cannot be changed at the onset of the fall semester.
YOUR ROOM
Residence hall rooms are typically furnished with a bed, dresser, desk, desk chair, and closet for each resident. Room furnishings also include 1 floor lamp, a wastebasket, a wall mirror, and blinds. While this setup is standard, by the start of classes each room will begin to show its occupants' personality. Coordinating the furnishings and arrangements of your room is a good opportunity to become better acquainted with your new roommate. Click Here to visit our picture gallery. Some things you may want to discuss or consider are:
* sharing belongings
* social and academic expectations and desires
* study and sleep habits
* refrigerator rental
* who is bringing a telephone, TV (cable-ready),
electronic equipment, etc?
If you are temporarily placed in a Three Person Room there will be an extra bed and dresser in the room.
