These buildings are corridor style, traditional settings with rooms opening off a main hallway. Each floor has two first-year mentors (FYMs) who are trained to help first year students adjust to college life. This traditional style settting is ideal for freshman because students engage with other residents frequently amd get to know each other quickly. In corridor syle halls, you'll find a study lounge, TV lounge, computer lab, recreation center, and laundry facilities. These halls also have shared kitchen facilities for light cooking.
First year buildings are dry areas wherein no alcohol is allowed.
Porter is one of the largest buildings on campus and the Residence Life Office is located in Porter Hall. Neumann Hall houses many of our residents who are involved with learning communities.
