The Focus Program

The best first step is the free NYSERDA energy efficiency study that provides a compehensive evaluation to identify cost-effective methods to reduce energy use and cost, and to identify economically viable improvements that will yield substantial energy savings.

The study (valued at $1500) is available whether the business or not-for-profit owns or leases its facility and is free if its average electric demand is less than 100 kW.  The SBDC can fill out the Consolidated Funding Application for you. We can also help you obtain generous financial incentives to implement the recommended energy-efficiency measures.

Commissioned to advance the mission of the SBDC to provide professional business advisement, education, network resources and advocacy for small businesses, the study includes extensive research on business opportunities for small business and recommendations for both businesses and policy makers.
