Military Personnel who served in the Iraq/Afghanistan War
The Horatio Alger Association is accepting applications from June 15th through September 1st for its general Horatio Alger Military Veterans Scholarship. The Association seeks to assist students who have demonstrated integrity, perseverance in overcoming adversity, strength of character, financial need, a good academic record, commitment to pursue a college education, and a desire to contribute to society.
Applicants must show proof of service by submitting a copy of Department of Defense Form 214 (DD214), a copy of their federal tax return to verify income, and active duty personnel need a copy of their Travel Orders (DD1610).
