Buffalo State is pleased to announce scholarship opportunities available to matriculated students with financial need. Students must have a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to determine their financial eligibility for Spring awards.
Gloria Shea Scholarship - The scholarship is named after Ms. Gloria Shea who taught for the West Seneca School District for almost 30 years and had a passion for teaching. To honor her legacy, her son, Pat Shea, a local singer and song writer from West Seneca has created this scholarship in memory of his mother. The winner must attend the annual scholarship dinner on Saturday, in November at Ilio DiPaolo's Restaurant in Blasdell, New York. The award will be given to an Elementary Education major with financial need, a minimum GPA of 2.5 or better, and in their junior or senior class year. Pano Scholarship - The scholarship is made available through donations from Pano's Restaurant located on 1081 Elmwood Avenue, Buffalo, New York. Scholarship applicants must be a sophomore, junior or senior to qualify. The award categories are single mothers 25 years and older and ethnic minorities.
