Information Session: Learn and Teach in the Dominican Republic

Time: 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Location: Ketchum Hall 218

An opportunity for Elementary Education and Reading and Exceptional Education undergraduates to teach and work with local schools and children in the coastal town of Cabarete in the Dominican Republic. Students will have the opportunity to study the Spanish language, learn the history of the town, and experience the culture of the region.

The information session will be hosted by project coordinators Wendy McLeish and Tamara Horstman-Riphahn.

Students will register for fall 2013 and will travel to the Dominican Republic January 8 through January 25, 2014. The online application is available here until April 29.

Scholarship Gala

The Buffalo State College Foundation celebrates its annual Scholarship Gala on Saturday, April 20, at the Statler. Join us as we name our All College Honors Program the Muriel A. Howard Honors Program in recognition of Buffalo State's seventh president.

100 percent of the net proceeds from the gala funds scholarships for student scholars in the honors program.
