Coder completed her B.S. and M.S. in Education at the State University College at Buffalo (1990 & 1992 respectively). She has been an educator in the Exceptional Education Department to undergraduate students since September 2004.

Often referred to as ‘a pioneer in traumatic brain injury’, Coder served as one of Western New York’s first Regional Resource Development Specialists for the NYS Department of Health Home and Community Based Services Traumatic Brain Injury Waiver for nine years. Preceding her specialist status, she provided counseling and employment services to individuals with brain injury through a U.S. Department of Education Grant at the Center of Assistive Technology/State University of New York at Buffalo.  A summa cum laude graduate, Coder is a proud member of the Kappa Delta Pi honor society for educators.
