Adopt-A-Book: A Global Book Hour Fundraiser -- Ongoing
The Global Book Hour, a collaborative literacy initiative sponsored by the Elementary Education and Reading Department and Wegmans on Amherst Street, hosted Adopt-A-Book on Tuesday, November 13 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm in the main lobby of E.H. Butler Library. Campus and community members joined in the effort to get books into the hands of our children during the weekly book hour led by Buffalo State teacher candidates. One semester’s worth of books for Global Book Hour can cost up to $4,000. The GBH will continue to see Adopt-A-Book sponsors throughout the year. For only $15, individuals can sponsor the purchase of book that will be given to a Buffalo child.
