The School of the Professions was created to capitalize on the synergistic relationships that exist among these varied academic departments and centers: Business, Computer Information Systems, Creative Studies, Criminal Justice, Dietetics and Nutrition, Hospitality and Tourism, the Small Business Development Center, Social Work, Speech-Language Pathology, Student Personnel Administration, and Technology.

In addition to award-winning faculty, professional accreditations, and a vibrant student body, the School of the Professions is home to several academic programs not available at any other SUNY institution. Assets like the Small Business Development Center and the International Center for Studies in Creativity extend our reach into the community and the global marketplace of ideas.

Through continued collaboration, faculty commitment to excellence in teaching and research, and a strong role in the community, the School of the Professions' mission is to educate and empower the leaders of tomorrow.
