Panel discussion featuring local literacy advocates and educators. How does education contribute to the reduction of poverty? What types of educational assistance are available to those who live in poverty? How can social workers best utilize these resources?

Kappa Omega and NYPIRG Box-a-thon
Time: Please Check Event Description
Location: Perry Quad
Collaborating with NYPIRG, the Social Work Honor Society will turn Perry Quad into a small box village to raise awareness of homelessness in Buffalo and to collect money and food for the Buffalo City Mission. Boxes will be provided as well as a limited number of plastic bags, in case of rain. Participants are encouraged to bring warm clothing, blankets, and trash bags.
