Professor Wall is an applied sociologist who is often found working along side community organizations.  She spends most of her energies on addressing issues that affect women and children.  She serves on Erie County’s Commission on the Status of Women as the Board Chair.  In the classroom she embraces the orientation that encourages and empowers students to be active participants in society.  Service learning projects are used in her courses.  She teaches social statistics, introduction to sociology, internship, race and ethnic relations, and research methods.  Her research interest includes the examination of stratification in higher education and in family relations.
