Curriculum
Student personnel administration courses are designed to provide experience and training for professional work in the many student personnel areas. The program, which includes an overview of college and university community situation, emphasizes the role of the professional student personnel worker in admissions, residence halls, financial aids, registration, orientation, academic and personal advisement, counseling, international student activities, placement and career counseling, college union activities, and the administration of the student affairs program.
With its additional concentration on community agencies and special programs, the program is appropriate for individuals interested in responsibilities toward such groups as young adults and the aged. It has relevance and appeal not only for those presently engaged or interested in college personnel work, but also for those attracted to community agency, health delivery, or law enforcement personnel areas, or teaching.

Electives (9 hours)
Electives may be selected from related courses in various disciplines or interdisciplinary areas. Students may also choose to pursue an independent study as one elective. The appropriate academic adviser or the coordinator of the Student Personnel Administration Program must approve all electives. Three courses are selected from any of the following areas:
