Activities
The Buffalo State College NSSLHA chapter has worked very hard at making a presence in the community.
Fall 2012
Yankee Candle Fundraiser - This is BSC-NSSLHA'sfirst fundraiser for the 2012-2013 school year. It begins on September 20, 2012 and runs until October 30, 2012. This is a perfect opportunity to support a good cause, while getting a start on your Christmas shopping.
Clothing Fundraiser - This fundraiser involved the members designing a fleece sweatshirt with BSC-NSSLHA’s logo. By purchasing a sweater, Speech-Language Pathology students can show pride in their department, while raising money. This sale begins in October and the order forms are due November 1, 2012. During the Spring 2013 semester, members have the opportunity to further expand their BSC-NSSLHA wardrobe, by designing and selling another clothing option.
Candy Sale- The sale of delicious Niagara Chocolate candy bars will last throughout the academic year. For the Fall Semester, it will begin in October and the last day to hand in money earned is November 29, 2012. BSC-NSSLHA will resume this sale during the Spring 2013 semester.
Book Drive- NSSLHA members understand the major impact that reading has on children’s overall education. Therefore, the group will collect and donate new and gently-used children’s books, to St. Joseph University School. Books can be dropped off in Ketchum 213 and at the November 29th meeting.
Basket Raffle and 50/50- This activity will occur during our annual Spring Banquet on May 3, 2012. Members find sponsors to donate baskets and put together their own. The letter for basket donations will be distributed at the last meeting of the Fall Semester.
