Weeks of Welcome: Buffalo Food Fest

Time: 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Location: Perry Quad

The Student Life Office presents the Buffalo Food Fest, as part of the Weeks of Welcome activities. Students will be able to sample several "taste of Buffalo" food items, including chicken wings, Bison chip dip, roast beef on weck, and loganberry soda. There will also be a Kan Jam tournament. 

The first 100 students will receive a Weeks of Welcome T-shirt.

Weeks of Welcome: Student Marketplce

Time: 12:15 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Location: Perry Quad

The Student Life Office is holding a student marketplace as part of the Weeks of Welcome activities on campus. Students will have a platform to display their creations and hand out business cards. This can include photography, art, jewelry, bath scrubs, scarves, baked goods, and hairstyling products. 
 
Students will need to register beforehand and be approved for participation in the event. Twenty-five students will be allowed to showcase their work. Reflection journals and stylus pens will be handed out to all participants
 
There will also be a local band jam session.

Native American Student Organization General Interest Meeting

Time: 12:15 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Location: Campbell Student Union 105F

NASO will be planning events for the rest of the semester including a trip to New York City, a barbeque, movie nights, traditional singing and dancing classes and many other events that may appeal to Buffalo State students.

Weeks of Welcome: Reflection Chalking

Time: 12:15 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Location: Campbell Student Union Quad

The Student Life Office, in collaboration with the Anne Frank Project and the Transforming Lives campaign, is holding a reflection chalking to let students express how being super in their own life can transform the lives of others.

Weeks of Welcome: Iron Chef and Better Bites Event

Time: 12:15 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Location: Campbell Student Union Social Hall

Students will be given ingredients and will have to cook a healthy, and tasty meal. Tables will be set up featuring food facts. Water bottles will be handed out to students with information on how much water they should drink daily.

Weeks of Welcome: Weigel Meet and Greet/Rugby Boot Camp

Time: 12:15 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Location: Perry Quad

The Student Life Office presents a Weigel Health Center meet and greet and a rugby themed "boot camp." Students will have the opportunity to meet staff from the health center, counseling center, dental clinic, University Police Department, and VIVA.
 
A trainer from the Buffalo Athletic Center  will be coordinating a group exercise. Students will be given a water bottle after the "boot camp" and granola bars.
