The Campbell Student Union is named for Mildred Keller Campbell, a significant benefactor of Buffalo State who dedicated years of service to the college. A member of the class of 1928, Campbell went on to teach with the Buffalo Public Schools, the Buffalo Seminary, and the University at Buffalo.

The Campbell Student Union is the center of life on the Buffalo State campus. The Barnes & Noble Bookstore, various food venues, and the student-run radio station, WBNY FM 91.3 are all located on the main floor. The Student Union Information Center as well as other convenient services such as three  ATM machines, are located in the upper lobby. The third floor of the Campbell Student Union is where you will find programming spaces, and student support offices. Lounge areas are also available on the third floor and are complete with Internet accessible computer terminals. The fourth floor is home to the Student Life Office, the Office of International Student Affairs and student government offices. The Campbell Student Union underwent a major renovation project that produced new dining venues on the first floor of the building. The fourth floor is also home to over a dozen student organization offices. While not every Buffalo State student organization has an office in the Campbell Student Union, students are encouraged to visit the fourth floor and get acquainted with everyone!

During the day, visitors can usually find a variety of tables set up in the Campbell Student Union lobby. Dedicated to everything from promoting campus activities to selling handmade jewelry, you're bound to find something to interest you! If you're looking for a place to meet your friends, the main lobby is the place to find them.... especially during Bengal Pause (12:05 p.m. - 1:30 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays).
