The Campbell Student Union will be accepting room reservations for the Fall 2009 semester beginning Friday, May 1, 2009.
In order for student organizations to reserve space in the Student Union, an updated Student Organization Registration Form must be submitted and be on-file in the Student Life Office. In an attempt to obtain new and accurate executive board and general membership information before the next semester begins, we are strongly encouraging your organization to submit your updated Student Organization Registration Form before the end of this academic semester. Student Organization Registration Forms have been placed in all student organization mailboxes. If you need additional forms, you can find them in the United Students Government (USG) office, or at the Information Center. All forms can be returned to the Information Center or the Student Life Office in the Student Union.
REMEMBER...
Reservations for the Fall 2009 semester will only be accepted from organizations that have an updated Student Organization Registration Form on file. Organizations who submit reservation forma before their Student Organization Registration Form is on-file, these forms will be returned without being reviewed. Once this form is on-file, a tentative hold will be placed on any available space(s) that your organization has requested. In order to finalize your reservation requests, your organization will have to attend both the mandatory Student Organization Meeting, hosted by the Student Life Office and a new mandatory event planning workshop.
The mandatory Student Organization Meeting will be taking place on Tuesday, September 1, 2009 at 12:05pm in Bulger Communication Center North. At this time, your organization will be reviewing the Campbell Student Union Student Organization Use of Space Agreement as well as being updated on information that pertains to student organizations and the Student Union.
Many of you have requested that the Student Life Office provide guidance on how to successfully plan, execute and evaluate your student programming. In an attempt to meet that need, organizations will be required to attend an Event Planning 101 workshop which will take place on Thursday, September 3, 2009 at 12:05pm in Bulger Communication Center North. This workshop will familiarize your new executive board members with the necessary "how-to’s" of successful event planning.
Attendance at both the meeting and workshop is mandatory. Failure to attend either session will prevent you from reserving space in the Student Union for the Fall 2009 semester.
