Buffalo State Siena Program
The Siena Program enables students to live with Sienese families and participate in community life, while attending classes taught primarily in English. The academic program revolves around a core of courses including Art and Architecture in Siena, Contemporary Italian Civilization/History of Italy, and Italian language. Additional classes in literature, ceramics, and painting are also offered.
Students take guided tours to Florence, Rome, and other Italian cities to study art, architecture, and Italian culture. Courses are normally taught in the Siena Program office/classroom complex and the art institute. Participants fly to Italy as a group but may return to the United States independently.
