David Brinson’s primary area of teaching research is with both creative and technical coursework. He specializes in various aspects of the Apparel Design industry, with a focus on Patternmaking, Draping and Fashion Illustration. David has fifteen years of CAD and CAM experience using AUTO CAD for apparel design, Gerber’s AccuMark 300 PDS and System Management software and Lectra’s Modaris and Diamino programs.
David continually develops and regularly updates specialized technology coursework for the Industrial Lectra Modaris and Diamino apparel pattern design and marker making system to keep current with industry expectations. He has developed a specialized industry workshop for the industrial pattern system and has exhibited examples of his creative garment draping techniques.
