Technology Education
The bachelor's program in technology education leads to a New York State Initial Certificate for teaching technology in grades K–12. As technology education evolves, so does our program. An annual assessment of our program yields the benefit of a more relevant experience for students. We encourage internships and offer interesting opportunities for mentoring young people. Student teaching experiences include both middle and high school settings.
Technology education graduates are recommended for New York State provisional certification to teach technology education (formerly industrial arts) in grades K–12. the program is laboratory oriented, teaching the important role of math, science, technology, and creativity in the design of products and systems.
