Dr. Pawlik received his Ph.D. from the University at Buffalo in Aerospace Engineering. He has over 30 years teaching and administrative experience at Buffalo State. He co-authored two textbooks on the statics and dynamics of elastic systems and currently teaches mechanics in the engineering technology program. As a professional engineer, formerly licensed in New York, Connecticut and Virginia, he has provided technical consulting services to several local companies. His interest in forensic engineering/accident reconstruction has been applied in numerous cases involving industrial accidents and product liability. Dr Pawlik is the current president of the Council for Engineering Technology in New York State, a member of the Engineering Technology Council of the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE), and past chairman of the Buffalo Section of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). Dr. Pawlik is faculty advisor for a team of students competing in the international solar electric boat contest, Solar Splash, sponsored by ASME.
