Accommodations
Dormitory rooms with linens and shared bathrooms are available on-sight to conference participants at Buffalo State College. The campus, which will be hosting the conference, is centrally located in the heart of Buffalo's museum district, convenient to Elmwood Village restaurants, bars and cultural institutions. We suggest conference participants take advantage of both the low housing prices and the convenient location offered by Buffalo State College and opt for dorm housing at the conference site. Conference participants will be housed in Porter Hall, which is an architechturally preserved example of a classic 1960s public university hall dorm with gendered restrooms. For people who prefer hotel accommodations, we have a negotiated rate at, and recommend, the Downtown Holiday Inn owned by the local Hart Hotels chain. Registration information is posted below. Single Room: $38 per night (includes all fees)
Double Room: $28 per bed per night (includes all fees)

Downtown Holiday Inn Rates and Info:
Holiday Inn Singles and Doubles are $92- per night plus 13.75% in sales and tourism taxes for a total cost of $104.65 per night per room. The hotel is located 2.5 miles (8 minute drive or taxi - 1 hour walk) from Buffalo State College and provides both free parking, a free airport shuttle and sporadic shuttle service to Buffalo State College (request service when you check in). To reserve a room at this rate please make your reservation by telephone at (716) 886-2121 and mention the Union for Democratic Communications Conference and the Buffalo State College negotiated rate. Please let us know (note on registration form) if you will be staying at the Holiday Inn when you register for the conference. Also, please register early since rooms are available on a first call first served basis. The UDC rate is in effect for reservations made before May 4th, 2009.
