Computer Information Systems (Minor)

About the Program

The Minor in CIS is a good complement to any major whose graduates will interact with computerized information systems. Interested students should take CIS151, and earn at least a 2.0, before applying for the minor. Students with a 2.0 or better in a transfer course equivalent to CIS151 can declare the minor at any time.

CIS 151 Computer-based Information Processing I
CIS 251 Computer-based Information Processing II

B. Electives in CIS (12 credits)*

Business emphasis - CIS370, CIS380 or BUS350, CIS411, CIS391
Technology emphasis - CIS315, CIS410, CIS470, CIS471, or CIS473
Programming emphasis - CIS400, CIS425, CIS 411, CIS375
Web emphasis - CIS375, CIS475, CIS413, CIS427

* Up to three of the requirements can be satisfied via approved transfer credit.
