The family and consumer sciences education program offers a broad knowledge of family and consumer sciences, plus skills in planning and communicating this knowledge to others. The bachelor of science degree program leads to initial K-12 certification to teach family and consumer sciences. The bachelor of science degree in family and consumer sciences education is necessary for certification in order to obtain a teaching position.
