The Academic Support Programs unit of University College offers several noncredit academic transitions courses to help students succeed in more advanced courses. Students may be directed to these courses after taking placement or competency exams, or they may enroll simply to improve basic skills areas.
First-Year Seminars are classes offered only to first-year students. Typically taken from the general education program, first-year seminars are taught by faculty members experienced in challenging students who are making the transition to university levels of inquiry.
