IN THE NEWS Attention all bands! Are you in a local band? Do you think your band is the best? Find out! WBNY is now accepting submissions for WBNY's annual Battle of the Bands. To enter, send a three song cd or tape, along with your non-refundable $3.00 entry fee, to: Battle of the Bands c/o WBNY 1300 Elmwood Ave. Buffalo, NY 14222 You may also drop them off at the station (located in the Campbell Student Union) during the following hours: Mondays: 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. Thursdays: 7:00 to 11:00 p.m. Fridays: 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Saturdays: 12:00 to 9:00 p.m. Want to become at WBNY DJ? The training process is relatively simple. You will be required to complete 12 hours of training with one of our DJ's. When you have completed those 12 hours, you must complete a protocol (review) session with our Program Director, Justin Swain. After that is completed you must pass our WBNY exam with a 90% or higher. If you do this, you are an official WBNY DJ. Training is going on right now.
