Information About Novel Influenza A H1N1
Weigel Health Center provides health and wellness services for all registered students. In addition to diagnosis and treatment of illnesses and injuries, we stress health education and preventive medicine. Students are seen on a walk-in or appointment basis, and there is no charge for most services, regardless of insurance coverage.
Our educational program sponsors professionals and peer educators who present topics on health issues, such as wellness, stress management, sexuality, violence, and alcohol and other drug-abuse prevention. Educational resources are available for student research or classroom projects.

Mandatory Health Insurance Policy
All full-time students are required to have health insurance. Students registered for 12 credit hours or more, (undergraduate and graduate) are automatically enrolled into Buffalo State College's Health Insurance Plan. Students who have their own insurance are required to complete an online waiver to avoid being enrolled in the college's health insurance plan.
The deadline to waive out of the health insurance plan for Fall 2009 was September 30, 2009.
Waivers are no longer being accepted.
Student Health Fee
Weigel Health Center Services and Activities are funded through the Student Health Fee of $115 per Semester for full time students.
You may apply to have your Fall Health Fee reimbursed if you are an online learner and your classes never meet on campus. Please complete the form and return to the Weigel Health Center no later than September 20, 2009. Your form will be processed after the deadline date. If you have any questions, please contact us at (716) 878-6711. You may fax the completed form to 716-878-6727.
