A general physical exam may be required for routine health maintenance, pre-employment, student teaching, internship, or international study programs. This exam is an excellent opportunity for the student to learn about wellness and address potential health problems. This service is covered by the student health fee and is provided free of charge. Sports Physicals
Students enrolled in athletics must have an annual pre-participation sports physical. The sports physical is a specialized, focused health assessment that screens for orthopedic or medical problems that may compromise a student-athlete's ability to compete safely.
The sports physical is not meant to be a substitute for a more comprehensive health maintenance evaluation.
Proof of a tetanus booster within the last 10 years is required. Immunizations can be updated at the health center as needed. This service is covered by the student health fee and is provided free of charge.
